拍摄里很多close-up的镜头都很有感觉 但整部电影都在避重就轻 首先电影总用一些细节去刻画意大利父子三人 比如老板对这个街区的默默的宽容和爱 以及哥哥警告弟弟要小心monk 与后面店面被烧和monk是第一个去砸店面的人相对应 好似一切都在谴责黑人不理智的暴力 但却忽略了黑人长期以来积攒愤怒的原因 以及造成男孩死亡的重要原因—institutional racism.试问一个种族为了改变社会对自己的stereotype努力去变好却依然被持续误解 当整个法律系统也针对自己 暴力回击是一种积攒已久也不得不的回击手段 谁看到在那三个
Spike Lee films a one-day story in Brooklyn, a black metropolis. What interesting is that it is not a story about gangs, drugs, but an ordinary story about neighborhood and daily life, although it ends with a unordinary riot and looting. We all know a good story should have contradiction even confrontation. In this story it is not a confrontation as we imagine between black and whites, but black and immigrants, no matter the Italian, or the Korean, who are actually the minority in this community or in the American. Another interesting thing is that a number of scenes in the film are linked with real incidents and issues happened before, eg, the place Pizzaria, the mayoral campaign, etc. Scholars tend to interpret this as expression of Spike Lee’s political view.
好看。仔细想想我可能没看过黑人电影。前半部有点人类学研究的味道，群像刻画有点意思，没什么情节也不影响吸引人，白人警察、黑人群体、意大利店主和韩国小商人紧张感一点点堆积，个人代入感强的是韩国人，语言不通，因为一年开店又并非主流被人嫉妒而战战兢兢，后来发现这只是意大利店主的一个影子，意大利人哪怕在这里25年也不影响他们的异质性，双方有真正的认可吗？没有吧，只是觉得这里能挣钱，这里能吃披萨。到冲突开始才发现这更像历史，晚清的教案冲突教民研究，甚至有点太平天国白莲教

This movie illustrates the struggle between a neighborhood living together. It's a story of people failing to communicate. They also fail to understand the consequences of their actions. Even after the inevitable ending, most of them only feel confirmed in their belief and do not reflect. Watch it, if you are interested to a display of complex cultural interaction on which you can reflect on yourself.

Radio Raheem应该是影片中印象最深的角色了——每凡到他的镜头，都以仰拍使他这个大块头显得咄咄逼人；手上拎的，是整个neighborhood里大概最拉风的大喇叭，放着Public Enemy的Fight The Power (P.E. in FULL effect!!)；可之前还在说着'Left hand, hate, K.O.'d by love'的他，之后也与披萨店老板Sal大起手脚，最终死于police brutality，在热天将尽时点燃街角不同社群间的冲突火焰——
